Evaluation of the the ‘Pasifika and Māori Health and Wellbeing: A Strategic Framework and Action Plan for Brisbane South 2020-2025’

Evaluating the Pasifika and Māori Health and Wellbeing Strategic Framework

Tagaloa Dr Glenda Stanley and Dr Ruth (Lute) Faleolo, researchers from the Pacific Australia Research Centre (PARC), led the evaluation of the Pasifika and Māori Health and Wellbeing Strategic Framework and Action Plan 2020–2025. Working alongside associate researchers Adjunct Associate Professor Judith Kearney and Ms Tiana Hippolite, the team employed culturally grounded, strengths-based, and community-centred approaches to understand the Strategy's impact on Pasifika and Māori health and wellbeing.

Through engagement with communities, health services, and key stakeholders, the evaluation highlighted the value of culturally responsive practice, community leadership, and cross-sector partnerships in advancing health equity for Pasifika and Māori peoples. The findings are helping to inform future policy, planning, and investment in community-led health initiatives across Queensland.
