Acknowledgements
We acknowledge ‘Otua, Te Atua, God and Creator of Moana Oceanian Pacific peoples, who provide a focus for the work we do in Australia. In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge the First Nations peoples, the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the unceded lands upon which we live and work. We also acknowledge the Pasifika and Māori Indigenous Knowledge Holders who have engaged in talanoa/korero/toktok with us in our line of work. Their cultural knowledge has helped to refine nuanced and holistic sociocultural understandings pertaining to the ways of being, knowing and doing within Australia.
